That's what your clients want to say when you put them on hold, so let's talk about that. It is unavoidable, but it doesn't have to be unpleasant. Take this opportunity to enlighten your clients about your services, entertain them with interesting facts about your business and educate them about something new. You have them captive, so don't punish them, be informative and fun. Have you ever been put on hold at Total Table? If not, call and ask us to put you on hold and you will see what I mean. If you provide the voice and go to the studio, it will cost about $250.00 for the background music, studio time and cds. I was lazy and I have a raspy (read sexy) voice so we hired a professional for me. Make your list of facts and try to make it about 4 minutes or more. Buy an inexpensive cd player, hook it up to your phone system and put it on repeat. It will play continuously. I got this idea a few years ago from Skip at Feast your Eyes and their cd is fantastic. You can call them too and ask to be put on hold!
