Pay Attention To Me!

That's what your clients want to say when you put them on hold, so let's talk about that.  It is unavoidable, but it doesn't have to be unpleasant. Take this opportunity to enlighten your clients about your services, entertain them with interesting facts about your business and educate them about something new.  You have them captive, so don't punish them, be informative and fun. Have you ever been put on hold at Total Table? If not, call and ask us to put you on hold and you will see what I mean. Your clients will never love being on hold but they won't hate it either. I used Larry Freedman at 2nd Street Media, 215 -923-1919.  If you provide the voice and go to the studio, it will cost about $250.00 for the background music, studio time and cds.   I was lazy and I have a raspy (read sexy) voice so we hired a professional for me.   Make your list of facts and try to make it about 4 minutes or more. Buy an inexpensive cd player, hook it up to your phone system and put it on repeat.  It will play continuously. I got this idea a few years ago from Skip at Feast your Eyes and their cd is fantastic. You can call them too and ask to be put on hold!

Photos of Brenda's Great Party

Meet Brenda LaManna, the creator of  this fantastic event at Rockefeller Plaza. Although we met through my website, it turns out she grew up in my hometown of Beacon, New York. After a few conversations we discovered that  my Dad was her Mom's doctor and she and my sister took ballet together.  What a small world! She is a fabulous designer and florist in New York.

And the Winner is?  Great location! Great linens!  You win Brenda LaManna!

So now that you have purchased your camera, and you have been taking thousands of  photos,  you have probably  used up almost all of your memory on your computer haven't you? Want to clear off those photos and keep them safe but always at hand? You need a portable external hard drive.  The WD Passport Essential is small (like a tiny paperback) and easy to use. It needs no power adaptor, plugs right into your computer and will hold up to 91,000 photos (that 's alot!) and 80,000 songs, videos and more. It comes in cool colors too. Only costs about $80.00 or less..even Costco sells it. You can unplug it, take it with you, plug it into another computer and show off your photos.  We will talk about organizing your digital photos next month, 'cause if you can't find them - they aren't doing you any good. Gee, Ann! What a great idea!
